About Me

My Photo
Fortenberry
I feel that Abstraction provides a very direct expression, and it has a history that interests me. My paintings are untitled because I don't wish to impose any specific or limiting association on them. My works are in corporate and private collections in the U.S. and Europe. I have participated in shows in New York City and the vicinity. I have an MFA degree from Brooklyn College and BFA degree from the Maryland Institute, College of Art, both are in Studio Painting. I have studied closely with the artists Lee Bontecou, Phillip Pearlstein, and Allan D'Achangelo. Collections - Johnson & Johnson, IBM, Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom
